Willy Morris was born and raised in the 818. Willy had an incredibly impressive surf career winning the US Championships in 1981, the Pro Class Trials at Sunset Beach, The Katin Pro Am, and the very first PSAA event ever thrown in San Diego. Willy was also one of the few LA raised surfers to ever qualify and surf on the World Tour.
After his pro surfing career, Willy spent most of his time fishing on his boat and visiting surf shops as a sales rep. He was one of the best fisherman I had ever seen and one of the best sales reps to ever do it. He excelled at everything he did and was truly one of a kind.
He was like a big brother to me.
We love and miss you Willy!
